X Quad Regatta - Nagawicka 3,4

Nagawicka X boaters took to Pine lake for the Quad regatta on Monday and Tuesday.  Monday was hot, hot, hot with light winds which led to 2 short races.  N-45, Sean Nigel and crew OliviaRose Chapman had the wind god's on their side as they won the second race by many, many minutes.  They found the only streak of wind on the water.

The second day of sailing was supposed to bring heavy winds and again hot weather.  The day started with a postponement and the completion of the volleyball tournament.  Lake Beulah were the champs for the fifth year in a row.  The fleet headed to the water when a nice breeze came up.  By the time all boats got to the course and a line was being set the winds went absolutely FLAT and the kids spent their time swimming while waiting for the wind to return.  It did not!  The regatta was called to a finish and everyone headed in for lunch and trophies.

Jack Behrend placed third with Alex Keck right behind in fourth place.  Way to go!  Sean Nigel placed eight and Ethan Heinze was just out of the top 10 with an eleventh place finish.
