NLYC Chicken Dinner

Members and guests enjoyed Rupena's spit-fired rotisserie chicken prepared by Jim Buege, Steve Bergum and Gene Kraklow.   Live music was supplied by Jeff Moylan (previous NLYC member) and his band, Space Truckin'. Great Weather, Great Food, Great Party!!  Click on Thumbnails below to enlarge photos or check out more photos on our Photo Page List under Socials.

Fourth of July Family Picnic & Fireworks

The Family Picnic was a huge success.  Thanks to Sharon & Gene Kraklow, Jim & Millie Buege and of course the games coordinators Mark & Marie Schimenz.

Martinis and Rib Cook-Off

On Saturday, July 30th Herb & Mary Rasmussen hosted the 2nd NLYC Rib Cook-Off along with a variety of Martinis served by Michele Heinze.  Six chefs participated in this year's cook-off each cooking 2 racks of ribs with their own special seasonings, sauces or cooking style. Ribs were sampled and voted upon according to flavor, tenderness, and whatever else Herb had on the cards.  This year the winner was new NLYC member, Randy Rauth and second place also went to a new member, Tom Munich (first time cooking ribs).  The third place winner was Herb Rasmussen.  Members also enjoyed cheesy potatoes, caesar salad and a variety of desserts.
