Regatta Update

Opti USODA Great Plains Championships - A group of 5 opti sailors from Nagawicka headed to Cedar Lake, Iowa at the end of August.  Alex Keck finished 2nd, Henry Chapman 3rd, Carson Heinze 9th, JP Munich 13th, and Lindsey McLean 19th. Alex, Henry and Carson qualified for the USODA Team Trials held on Pewaukee, Lake in 2013.  

C Inland Lake Mendota was home to the 2012 C Inland Championship.  Windy, windy, windy was weather.  N-181 Peter Keck placed 7th overall out of 54 boats.  N-47 Ryan Grosch placed 25th and sailing in his first Inland, Commodore Dick Milaeger, N-33 placed 45th.  

MC Inland - Peter Maslowski competed in the MC Inland on Mendota and placed 31st.

C WYA - Nagawicka had three boats attend the WYA on Okauchee.  Peter Keck placed 10th overall after having an OCS in race number 2.  Also sailing for Nag were Craig Heinze and Dave Perry.  

Nagawicka sends X and Opti's to Blue Chip

Three X boats qualified for the Blue Chip on Cedar Lake.  Competing were N-525 Jack Behrend (fifth), N-45 Sean Nigel (tenth) and N-181 Alex Keck. (22nd).

Nagawicka sent 7 opti's to the Red, White and Blue Chip on Lac LaBelle.  Alex Keck placed 2nd, Henry Chapman 4th, Avery Stuckart 14th, JP Munich 26th, Carson Heinze 31st, Oliviarose Chapman 32nd, and Jack Tegeder 41st.

N-525 Jack Behrend Wins TRAP Junior Regatta!

Nagawicka Optis have strong showing at LOPN & Lake Beulah Fun Regatta

Nagawicka opti's had three sailors finish in the top five at the LOPN on Lac LaBelle.  The morning races had a strong breeze and great races.  Alex Keck was the winner of the first race and had top five finishes in the next three races.  Henry Chapman won the third race and had two 2nd's and a fourth to seal his second place.  Carson Heinze had three top five finishes, but capsized at the last buoy rounding in the third race and ended up 19th in that race moving him down to 5th place overall.  Jack Tegeder had a consistent day with three races in the top ten giving him an 8th 8th place overall finish.  Newcomer, JP Munich finished his very first regatta strong with two top ten races and a 10th place overall finish.  OliviaRose Chapman competed in the junior fleet and won the 3rd race.  She was 3rd place overall.  Danny Hegberg had a 7th place overall finish with a 5th place in the last race of the day.  Marisa Tegeder had a consistent day with a 10th place finish.  Way to go sailors!


Team Nagawicka had 8 optis competing in the Beulah Fun Regatta.  Alex Keck was just two points shy of the winner taking second place.  Henry Chapman took third place just two points behind Alex.  Also competing for Nag were Carson Heinze-10, JP Munich-21, Jack Tegeder-26, OliviaRose Chapman-36, Toby Lux-39, Alec Birbaum-40.
